WW I German U Boat

Never being content to just dive on the shipwrecks that others find we spend time every dive season searching the Great Lakes for new undiscovered wrecks to explore.  This gives us a big advantage over other charter boats when it comes to you exploring new wrecks as well as the wrecks that we all enjoy re-exploring.

Our Side scan,  Klein 100 KHz fish, all stainless with a depressor wing capable of diving to 1000 meters with a swath area of over 600 meters.  Top side unit is a Klein 531 T converted to 17 " Toshiba laptop computer.  This system gives us fantastic long range images and the ability to find what we are looking for and any other unknown wrecks.  With the computerized side scan we are able to look at the lake bottom with increased detail and the ability to replay the image.

If you or your group are interested in locating that not yet found shipwreck please give us a call.  We would be happy give you a quote for learning the finer science of side scanning.  We have a trailer able vessel that is used for side scanning fully equipped for searching in any of the Great Lakes!

On my klein like most side scan sonars you have the option to select the search range that is best for what you are looking for underwater. What sets the Klein apart from other units is its ability to receive images from a very long distance away. It also helps to have a thousand feet of cable !

Below are some of our imagines of the side scan, local shipwrecks and more!
